Refund & Return Policy

Your satisfaction with every Rickard Transit Studio purchase matters deeply to us. We want you to feel confident and happy in the activewear you choose, so if something doesn’t meet your expectations, we’re here to make the return or refund process straightforward. Below is a clear breakdown of our policies—designed to keep things transparent for all U.S. and Canadian customers.

1. Eligibility Window for Returns

You have the flexibility to initiate a return request within 30 calendar days of your order’s delivery date. This timeline is calculated from the day a carrier confirms your package has been delivered (you can find this info in your shipping confirmation email). Unfortunately, we cannot accept return requests or process refunds for items returned after this 30-day period.

2. Requirements for Qualifying Returns

To ensure your return is processed smoothly, items must meet the following criteria:
  • Remain unworn, unwashed, and free of any stains, deodorant marks, or signs of use (we understand trying on is okay—just avoid wearing for full practice sessions!)
  • Retain all original tags, size labels, and brand hangtags (do not cut or remove these, as they are required for verification)
  • Be returned in their original packaging (e.g., sealed yoga legging bags or branded boxes) when applicable—this helps protect items during transit

This includes close-to-skin yoga essentials such as high-waisted yoga briefs, seamless sports bras, and any personalized items (for example, custom-embroidered tops). 
These exclusions are clearly highlighted on each relevant product page so you will always know before purchasing.

3. Exchange Process

At this time, we don’t offer direct exchanges for size, color, or style preferences. If you’d like a different variation of your item (e.g., swapping a Small legging for a Medium), simply place a new order for the desired product and initiate a return for the original item (following the steps below).
For items that arrive defective (e.g., a ripped seam, broken drawstring), damaged in transit, or incorrectly shipped (e.g., you ordered a black tank but received white), our team will make it right. We’ll either arrange a free replacement (if the item is in stock) or process a full refund—whichever works better for you. This is handled on a case-by-case basis after we verify the issue.

4. Return Shipping Costs: Who Covers What?

Shipping responsibilities depend on the reason for the return—we’re committed to covering costs when the issue is ours:
  • Our Responsibility: If the item is defective, damaged, or we shipped the wrong product, we’ll cover the full cost of return shipping. We’ll send you a prepaid return label via email (valid for U.S. and Canadian addresses) to make the process hassle-free.
  • Your Responsibility: For “change-of-mind” returns (e.g., you ordered the wrong size, decided you no longer want the item, or the style doesn’t suit you), you’ll be responsible for covering return shipping fees. Please note: Original shipping fees paid on your order are non-refundable, unless the return is a result of our error (e.g., incorrect item shipped) or required by U.S./Canadian consumer protection laws.

5. How to Start a Return

Please don’t ship items back without prior approval—this helps us process your return quickly and avoid delays. Follow these simple steps:
  1. First, reach out to our support team at help [email protected] with your order number and a clear explanation of why you’re returning the item (e.g., “wrong size” or “defective stitching”).
  2. If the item is defective or damaged, include 2-3 clear photos showing the issue (close-ups work best—this helps our team verify the problem without needing to wait for the item).
  3. Our support team will review your request within 24 business hours (Mon-Fri, 9AM-5PM EST) and email you a confirmation if your return is approved, along with detailed shipping instructions (including where to send the package and how to use a prepaid label if applicable).

6. Refund Processing Timeline

Once we receive your returned package at our warehouse, our team will inspect the item(s) to ensure they meet our return criteria. We’ll send you an email within 3 business days of receipt to let you know if your refund has been approved.
Approved refunds are processed to your original payment method  within 5-10 business days. Keep in mind that your bank or credit card provider may require additional time (typically 3-5 business days) to process the refund and reflect it in your account—this is outside of our control, but we’re happy to help if you need to follow up.

7. Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t seen the refund in your account after the 5-10 business day processing window, we recommend these steps first:
  • Check with your bank or card issuer—they may have a hold on the refund or require extra processing time.
  • Verify the original payment method—refunds can only be sent to the card or account used for the original purchase (we can’t redirect refunds to a new method).
If you still haven’t received your refund after checking with your financial institution, email us at help [email protected] with your order number and the date you were notified of the refund approval—we’ll investigate and resolve the issue promptly.

Canadian Orders – Duties & Taxes

For orders shipped to Canada, any import duties, taxes, or customs fees charged by the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) or the carrier are non-refundable by us.

If you return an item, we will refund the product price (and our original shipping fee only where required by law and if the return is due to our error). Import duties,taxes, and customs fees are not included in your refund.
